Adventure
Hollow Tide
★★★★★ 4.5
Hollow Tide is a quieter kind of adventure. You explore a coastal town that's slowly flooding, piecing together what happened through notes, objects and short conversations. There's no combat — the tension comes entirely from mood and mystery.
Movement is simple tap-to-walk and the interface stays out of the way. What impressed me is how the atmosphere builds: the sound design, the rising water in the background of each scene, the way the town empties as you go deeper. It's a game that trusts you to feel things without spelling them out.
It's a few hours long and doesn't overstay its welcome. If you want something atmospheric to play with headphones before bed, Hollow Tide is a lovely, melancholy little trip.
