Harbor Keeper
★★★★☆ 4.1
Harbor Keeper is comfort food in game form. You manage a small harbor — scheduling boats, upgrading docks, keeping the little townsfolk happy and the market stocked. It's slow, gentle, and deeply satisfying to watch grow.
The loop is classic sim: earn, invest, expand, repeat. But it's paced kindly, without aggressive timers pushing you to spend. You can play a burst and come back later to find things ticking along nicely. The pixel art is charming and the weather system adds just enough variety.
It won't challenge you the way a strategy game does, and that's the point. Harbor Keeper is for winding down. I played it in short evening sessions and always closed it feeling a bit calmer.
